Posters in Amsterdam is an inspirational design source. It offers a growing overview of posters displayed in Amsterdam from 2002 till now. The collection contains 2800 posters at the moment. Besides direct access it is categorized in sections like 'Posters with mainly one face' and 'Posters with a lot of red'. The posters are loaded from Flickr. Postersinamsterdam.com went online in the spring of 2011 to make the poster collection on Flickr more accessible and to give it an own face.

Postersinamsterdam.com started as a personal inspirational archive for art director and designer Jarr Geerligs in October 2002.

It grew over the years and Jarr thought that the archive would be of better use when shared with others. One of the reasons being the temporary nature of the posters. They hang in the city for a week or two and then they are gone. Another being that probably other designers would be interested what kind of designs are hanging in the city of Amsterdam. So, Jarr started sharing them on Flickr since August 2006.

In 2011 Jarr designed and made this site around the collection.
It got awarded with the following honors:
Core77 Design Award Runner Up
Webby Awards Honoree
One Show Nominee
